ABOUT US

Our Mission

Our mission is to support and train high school students who aspire to attend and graduate college. Through high level instruction and a broad array of STEM-related training, we seek to enhance each student’s professional development and expand their understanding of the world of neuroscience.

Our Internship Program

Research Experience

Interns will work with various modalities of imaging data of the brain, learn basic neuroanatomical concepts, and be introduced to responsible research conduct.

Mentorship

Each intern will be paired up with a STEM professional within the MGB community whom they’ll meet with once a week throughout the program to establish goals and strategies

Professional Development

Every week, interns will attend various seminars that will expose them to the STEM career paths available to them, as well as practical workshops to inform and enhance their professionalism skills.

Our Collaborators

* My Brothers Keeper *

We’ve partnered up with the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK), Cambridge organization. Their team not only recruits minority students they think would most benefit from this program, but additionally raise awareness about social justice issues within and outside of STEM communities. To read more about their organization, mission, and upcoming events please visit their website by clicking on the image to the right.

* Women in Science *

Additionally, we collaborate with the Women in Science (WiS), group at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. Their team’s mission is to generate thoughtful conversation about disparities in STEM related to gender & gender identity, culture, race, sexual orientation and background while providing tools and a safe environment to achieve equity.
